Donnie Wahlberg and Jon Avnet ("The Core") are developing "Morse Code," a Boston-set crime drama for cable network TNT ("The Closer") reports Reuters.

Former "Law & Order" writer-producer Walon Green is penning and Avnet is anticipated to direct the series about a young war hero-turned-Drug Enforcement Administration officer.

Wahlberg, a Boston native, is expected to star and all three will produce.
