Kurt Sutter Talks "Sons of Anarchy" Ending

Speaking at the TCA panel late last week, "Sons of Anarchy" executive producer Kurt Sutter says he has a "loose idea" as to the last scene of the seventh and final season of the FX series.

"What I’ve learned over time is that the looser I hold onto those ideas, the better the seasons are. I have an idea of what the final shot is, and somehow it’s Otto getting out of jail. Again, I hold onto that loosely."

He also confirms Boom! Studios are producing a series of graphic novels that could fill a time gap between the end of the series and a potential prequel limited event series.

If the prequel does go forward though, there will be a gap. Sutter said back in June: "I want to let the property rest for a year or so after Sons is over before jumping in. I don’t know if it will be a series or a limited series of say 10 to 13 episodes. I don’t want to do it as a movie – tonally, I don’t see it as a movie."

Sutter previously said the seventh season will end "in a pool of blood," and there may be more than thirteen episodes to finish everything off.
