A&E Network Announces New "The Returned"

A&E Network has announced back-to-back premiere dates for the third season of "Bates Motel" and the U.S. remake of acclaimed French supernatural series "The Returned". Both will premiere on March 9th.

Speaking about the latter, show runner Cartlon Cuse says that the first six episodes of the show share a lot of similarities with the original. After that point they diverge and the end of the first season is "fairly, distinctively different" from the original.

As can be glimpsed in the previews, a fairly major part of the action in Marvel's "Thor: The Dark World" takes place in the U.K. where strange physics-defying phenomenon are a key element to the film's overall plot.

Marvel Studios Getting Bigger In TV Field

Marvel Studios is reportedly getting further into the television field and is putting together a package of four drama series and a miniseries.

Totalling around 60 episodes of content, the package is being shopped around VOD and cable services with the likes of Netflix, Amazon and WGN America considered potential candidates.

The project is in very early stages with little to no talent attached at this point, and no details on what any of these potential shows might be.
