CW Plans Next Series "Arrow"

It was The CW's turn on the Winter TCA Press Tour over the weekend, the network riding high on their successes like "The Flash," "Arrow," "Jane the Virgin" and long-running performers like "Supernatural" and "The Vampire Diaries".

Following The CW's TCA Winter Tour presentation over the weekend, the network has debuted the first trailers for its two new mid-season series "The Messengers".

A month later on April 10th comes "the Messengers," in which five strangers find an instant connection after being hit by the shock wave of a mysterious object plummeting to Earth. The five become newly christened Angels of the Apocalypse and may be the only thing that stops the Rapture from happening.

Following The CW's TCA Winter Tour presentation over the weekend, the network has debuted the first trailers for its two new mid-season series "iZombie".

"Veronica Mars" creator Rob Thomas produces "iZombie" about an over-achieving medical resident who attends a party where she unexpectedly becomes one of the undead. Trying to get over her urges to feed on human brains, she takes a job in the Seattle coroner's office. The show premieres March 17th.

A&E Network Announces New "The Returned"

A&E Network has announced back-to-back premiere dates for the third season of "Bates Motel" and the U.S. remake of acclaimed French supernatural series "The Returned". Both will premiere on March 9th.

Speaking about the latter, show runner Cartlon Cuse says that the first six episodes of the show share a lot of similarities with the original. After that point they diverge and the end of the first season is "fairly, distinctively different" from the original.

Greg Berlanti Teased CBS's "Supergirl"

"Arrow" and "Flash" producer Greg Berlanti teased last year that we might see a crossover between CBS' "Supergirl" series and the The CW's mini-universe of "Arrow" and "The Flash," despite them airing on different networks.

Now, THR reports that they're heading that part of Berlanti's CBS contract for doing "Supergirl" is that the show can crossover with "The Flash" and "Arrow". Part of the reason this is do-able is that CBS and Time Warner own The CW network.
