Following The CW's TCA Winter Tour presentation over the weekend, the network has debuted the first trailers for its two new mid-season series "iZombie".
"Veronica Mars" creator Rob Thomas produces "iZombie" about an over-achieving medical resident who attends a party where she unexpectedly becomes one of the undead. Trying to get over her urges to feed on human brains, she takes a job in the Seattle coroner's office. The show premieres March 17th.
Universal Pictures has confirmed a July 1st 2016 release date for the thriller sequel "The Purge 3". No details regarding casting or plot have been revealed beyond it being once again using the high concept of a single night a year in the U.S. when all crime is illegal. James DeMonaco, who wrote and directed the first two films, has signed on to pen the third.
Jonathan Tucker ("Kingdom," "The Deep End") has scored a role in the final five episodes of FX's U.S. marshal series "Justified". The sixth and final season kicks off on January 20th.
Tucker will play Boon, a hired gun of Katherine Hale's (Mary Steenburgen) ex-husband, Avery Markham (Sam Elliott). Elliott and Garret Dillahunt serve as the main antagonists of the season.
Following a career resurgence with "Birdman," actor Michael Keaton has entered talks to join the cast of the big-budget monster movie "Kong: Skull Island" at Legendary Pictures.
J.K. Simmons and Tom Hiddleston also star in the movie about a team of explorers trekking to the home of King Kong.
Jordan Vogt-Roberts helms from a script by John Gatins and Max Borenstein. No production schedule has been announced, but a March 10th 2017 release date is already set.
