In Seoul city there is a small traditional Korean confectionery shop called “Peony Hall”. The shop is managed alone by its owner, Sang Woo (Choi Sung Min). One day a Japanese reporter, Isaka Sunao (Takumi Saito) specializing in the food and beverage writing passes his shop by accident and managed to taste his confectionery products and soon fall in love with its flavors.

Then he starts to write about the shop’s delicious products and starts his friendship with Sang Woo. Later, due to the harassment by the local gangsters, Peony Hall is forced to close down as the injured Sang Woo is unable to work. Sang Woo’s brother (Kim Jeong Hoon) then returns home in a sudden after a failed career in the music industry. Previously the siblings could not get along with one another and after realizing his brother’s conditions he decided to cooperate with him and run the shop’s business as a baker.
